Undersurface Camouflage 'lozenge' 5-Color Printed Fabric
This piece of 5-color, undersurface, camouflage, lozenge printed fabric measures 26-1/2 in. x 19 in. or 67 cm x 48 cm and has a thread count of 56 threads per inch. It has a small amount of varnish or dope along the bottom edge. It may have been used as the fabric wall behind the pilot's seat of a German aircraft. From the Michael Baldwin Collection. It is shown here by itself and with a copy of issue no. 129 of World War One Aero, the cover of which had an exact photo of the same type of fabric printed at full-scale. The magazine does not accompany the lot.
